Patti's Personal Opinion:
Bartending

(You never know what you don’t know)

bartending

My readers often email me about their bartending experiences and how the little methods I share have really exploded their take home pay.

I spent many years bartending at various bars in my area. I was able to fine-tune my skills and learn from the best when first starting out. I was lucky to always be one of the top performers and I made great tips. Then again, maybe it wasn’t luck. I actually WORKED at becoming a better bartender. I quickly learned to treat my customer right and they came back to my section week after week.

I was constantly trying out a lot of new ways to get better at making tips.

It amazes me how few bartenders try to experiment on customer reactions while bartending. I never had to juggle bottles or breathe fire to make great money. I just did the little subtle methods I saw experienced servers doing. I’d try them, see the results, and then try to refine them. By using these simple ideas over and over, and then improving them, I was able to pay ALL my bills, bank some good money and live a very comfortable existence from bartending a few nights a week.

It's surprising how FEW people currently bartending will actually take the time to learn a few simple methods that would explode their income!
