Patti's Personal Opinion:
Bartender Guide

("Hello, I’ll be your guide for the evening")

bartender guide

Are you looking for a bartender guide? There are many books and free resources on how to make drinks. Most people think learning the ingredients of drinks will make them a bartender. Well, it will make them a bartender, but it won’t necessarily make them money.

Learning to mix drinks and saying you’re a bartender is like learning the words to a song and saying you are a good singer.

There is so much more to making MONEY as a bartender.

I couldn’t find a good bartender guide when I first started. And although most bartenders no take a "course" on bartending, the money is in the people skills, not the ingredients.

If you are just looking for a list of ingredients there are many internet sites that will give you that info for free (e.g. WhatGoesInIt.com. If you are looking to learn the "art" of making money as a bartender, you don’t need a bartender guide; you need information on how to interact with customers.

Patti,
Being a first time server, I'm really excited about making more tips. I'm working the tables a little more efficiently now. Your tips work! I had one customer comment to her kids that "She's really nice, isn't she!" The kids left me a $5 bill and mom gave me five on the credit card. It really made me smile. I've also found the importance of treating the kitchen staff like you said. That's really works to.
Thanks so much,
Nicole ..(email on file)
